Log of SV Esprit

Below are a collection of stories spanning our combined experience as travelers, sailors, outdoor adventureres, and food obsessors. You'll also find how-to's, reviews, rants and otherwise worthy subjects. Sometimes we're published. We have another blog from previous adventures that will be converted to this site soon!

Where has the blog been this past year?!

I’ll admit, we’re way behind on this. Something had to make room for this boat, though. That thought brought an audible chuckle to the cavernous salon of Esprit. Pop culture would call that an ‘LOL,’ LOL.

We have some planned articles that we’ve started outlining and should post the first one about the Panama Canal transit and leg one of our trip from Panama to Mexico this week. The following week we’ll post leg two, Chiapas to Manzinallo, and each week after another will follow. Leg three of our trip was from Manzanillo to Cabo via Tenacatita. Brian, Quincey, and I though we may have to sail leg four, the toughest leg, without a fourth crew but had a last minute savior. Graeme, who had never sailed out of site of land, got his share of new experiences. I think he handled it better than the rest of us, actually! But he did get off in San Diego, leaving the three of us to sail Southern, Central, and Northern California. There will be a special review of our home coming, then a blog I’ve titled Summer and Oh No, Where’s Our Money. Jobs. and then onto our current hurdle, a ten year refit for Esprit.

Stay tuned and checkout these rad shots while you wait!
